Mr. Kutubuddin Ahmed
Chairman
Mr. Kutubuddin Ahmed, Chairman of this group, is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He set up Envoy Group in 1984 and has always been the pivotal force behind phenomenal success of the group. Starting with only one garment manufacturing unit in mid-eighties, today the group has emerged as one of the largest and thriving conglomerates in Bangladesh.
Mr. Ahmed is a self-motivated person with strong principles. His impeccable honesty, dedication and sincerity favored him to become one of the prosperous and illustrious industrialists at home & abroad. He is a strong proponent of transparency & translated his vision in every sphere of the group. This is the way; Envoy Group has emerged as one of the most ethical companies in Bangladesh.
Mr. Ahmed is a strong believer in developing human resource. Under his visionary guidance, the group emphasis the benefits and rights of competent work force. Because of his relentless endeavors and clairvoyance, Envoy Group achieved President’s Export Trophy in 1988-89 and National Export Trophy in 1990-91 and 1991-92. He has been recognized as Pre-eminent personality in apparel sector and received the prestigious Arthakantha Business Award-2002 by national fortnightly of Bangladesh. Mr. Ahmed is Commercial Important Person (CIP) since 1991.
Mr. Ahmed was the Former President (2004-05) – Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Dhaka. He was also the Former President (2001-03) – Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) and executive member of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation. He is as an executive board member of International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh. By dint of entrepreneurial talent and vast experience, Mr. Ahmed has succeeded to promote and administer several industrial & business enterprises in Manufacturer and exporter of readymade garments, annual turnover US $ 200 million, Textiles (First rope dyeing manufacturing plant in Bangladesh, capacity 50,000 meter per day), Information technology (IBM business partner) and IT consultancy, GSA for British Airways World Cargo, Freight forwarding, Hospitality industry: Executive Suites Limited (Five star serviced apartments and restaurant), Trading (Local and International), Real estate and consultancy, Financial institution: The Premier Bank Limited.
Mr. Ahmed has been serving the nation with utmost dedication and sincerity. He has undertaken various Social-Welfare initiatives for the downtrodden people under the banner of Saadat Smrity Sadan and running two charitable clinics through which poor people are getting tremendous support. He is also patronizing in several educational institution including Dhaka University.
Mr. Kutubuddin Ahmed is an avid golfer and a great lover of sports. He is holding the part of Secretary General, Bangladesh Olympic Association. He was ex-president of the oldest football club Mohammedan sporting club. He has been awarded with International Olympic Committee (IOC) trophy for “Sports & Community” in 2006, and was made Paul Harris Fellow for contribution to the Rotary Foundation in 2004.
He was awarded National Sports Award 2002 as an organizer- the highest recognition for contributing to the sports of the country. He also has been adjudged Sport Organizer of the Year by Bangladesh Journalist’s Association for his notable commitment to develop sports in the country during 1997 and Outstanding Corporate Achievement at 2008 by Islamic University, Chittagong.
Mr. Abdus Salam Murshedy

Mr. Abdus Salam Murshedy, Managing Director of the Envoy Group has an excellent business background and highly reputed for his relentless endeavors and dynamism. He is a prominent personality in the business arena of the country and playing a pre-dominant role in establishing a solid industrial base in Bangladesh.
A born leader with vision- Mr. Salam started the company in 1984. In less than two decades, he has guided the organization to emerge a business conglomerate in Bangladesh with 14 big Garments house and a Washing plant. Today, the activity of Envoy Group is not only confined to garments and textiles, but the operation has also stretched in to Information Technology, Trading, Freight Forwarding, Real Estate, Banking, Health Care, etc. Mr. Salam maintains a very high and charismatic profile due to his honesty, intelligence and sincerity. He is a self-motivated person with strong principle and determination. By virtue of his solemn commitments to the manufacturing and export of textile and garment sector, Mr. Salam is regarded as a dignified personality in the country.
Mr. Salam is closely associated to the garment movement in Bangladesh. He has been playing a vital role in Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) for last 20 years. His tremendous contribution to the garments sector drove him towards successful running in BGMEA election as a Director for four tenures. Mr. Salam was also working as a Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and as a Chairman of the Standing Committee on Customs-BGMEA. His innovative ideas halved the complexity of import and export procedure and brought smoothness in the operation in respect of customs activities. His intelligent and brilliant policy making ability and immense contribution made him elected as a President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) from 2008 – 2010. At present he is the president of prestigious Export association of Bangladesh (EAB).
Mr. Salam has got graduation from Dhaka University and widely renowned for his magical skill as a footballer. As one of the finest sports personality Bangladesh has ever produced. Mr. Salam led the National Football Team of the Country in many international tournaments. He played for Mohammedan Sporting Club, the leading sports club in the country, for many years as a player as a Captain. His record of Scoring 27 goals in a single season in the National Football League of Bangladesh is still intact. After retiring as a professional player, Mr. Salam has not isolated himself from football. He contributed a lot earlier to the development of football as the Sports Secretary of Mohammedan Sporting Club. His professionalism, dedication and laudable personality made him currently elected as a Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation. Mr. Salam is member of all the elite club of Dhaka. In recognition of his great contribution and talent he has been honored with the National Sports Award by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Mr. Salam is a Commercially Important Person (CIP) since long.
